Bonnie Christie | Zinda Law Group
Lead Trial Lawyer
Bonnie Christie has dedicated her career to personal injury victims who need someone on their side. Based out of Houston, Texas, Bonnie focuses on medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases. A stalwart advocate for her clients, Bonnie enjoys Zinda Law Group’s collaborative approach to all stages of litigation. She is licensed in Texas and Louisiana and brings over 11 years of complex litigation experience to serve the firm’s clients.
Bonnie decided to become a lawyer when she was just 18 years old and had to write a persuasive paper in her first college English course. She wrote about tort reform and caps on damages, specifically in medical malpractice. At the time, she was a biology major with her sights set on medical school. However, the more she learned about medical malpractice, the more she wanted to seek justice and preserve the rights of injured victims. She changed course later that semester and never looked back.
During her time at Florida Coastal School of Law, Bonnie excelled in medical malpractice law courses, led a winning client counseling team, and earned a spot on the Dean’s List. After law school, she gained valuable experience practicing medical malpractice and personal injury at a law firm in Lafayette, Louisiana. Since becoming licensed in Texas, she has worked on mass tort litigation involving vaginal mesh cases, gained experience handling subrogation claims for several insurance companies, and eventually transitioned her practice back to her passion – medical malpractice. Prior to joining Zinda Law Group, Bonnie was a partner at a medical malpractice firm in Houston.
Bonnie is also a champion for her community. She currently volunteers as a pro bono lawyer for KIND (Kids in Need of Defense), where she helps detained minor immigrants find a safe and secure place in the United States. She also volunteers with the Houston Food Bank, Texas Children’s Hospital, and the Houston SPCA. She is a proud wife and a mother of two boys. She also loves the history of World War II, travels often, knits, bakes, and reads.
